Overview

Everyone deserves a place they can call home – a safe-haven they can rely on long term. But none more so than those with enduring illnesses. How can they expect to take care of themselves with dignity and certainty if they do not have a living space that fits their specialist needs?

At the Assisted Living Project, we are dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with enduring illnesses across the UK by housing those who need it most. As an independent UK property organisation, our primary focus is on providing exceptional assisted living accommodation to meet the unique needs of our valued tenants.

Our mission is simple yet powerful: to create a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for people with enduring illnesses to thrive and enjoy life to the fullest. We work hand in hand with housing associations and Community Benefit Societies (CBS) to provide fit for purpose accommodation to those who need it most.

Leased over 25 years on agreements funded by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), our goal is to deliver more than 20,000 homes ready for assisted living over the next four years.

Together with our partners, we strive to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our tenants and the wider community.

About ALP

Assisted Living facilities provide a safe and secure environment where vulnerable individuals can receive the care and support they need. The need for Assisted Living accommodation in the United Kingdom is increasing year on year, fuelled by a growing ageing population as well as by the constant demand from people of all ages who require assistance with daily living.
According to a report by the Office for National Statistics (ONS), the number of people aged 65 and over in the UK is expected to reach 15.2 million by 2026, an increase of 19% from 2021. This increase in the elderly population is likely to result in a greater demand for Assisted Living facilities, as many of these individuals will require assistance with daily living.
